Demolition of a 20,000 sq. ft. parking pad, removal of concrete,
preparation of structural concrete surface, installation of new
rubberized asphalt fluid applied membrane, protection board and
expansion joints as required. Neoprene flashings and stainless steel
counterflashings were installed where concrete substrate abutted
parapets and rising walls of high rise structure. New poured-in-place
concrete slab, as a parking pad, was then installed.
Demolition of the existing concrete parking pad to expose waterproofing
required off hours demolition due to the proximity of the project as it
is located in the center of Baltimore City, surrounded by office
buildings. Offices and a cafeteria directly below necessitated the work
being performed during night time hours and on weekends.
