Skokie, IL, March 10, 2005 - Tecta America is in preliminary discussions with generalRoofing regarding a possible business combination. These are preliminary discussions that may or may not result in any transaction.
Mark Santacrose, President and CEO of Tecta America said, "We are very impressed with how generalRoofing has turned around its operations and the high rate at which customers are returning. Another reason is generalRoofing's quality people and the quality of its work. Together we would become the largest national roofing company."
Bart Roggensack, President and CEO of generalRoofing said, "Tecta is the most successful consolidation in our industry. They are profitable, have a very strong financial foundation and together we would be a very formidable company."
Again, these are very preliminary discussions and they may or may not result in any transaction. The potential benefits of this transaction would be numerous for both companies
