Management Team

The Tecta America management team is made up of some of the most talented and experienced names in the roofing industry. We lend strategic and financial expertise to your roofing project by providing senior level management strength at the local level with the added benefit of a team of experts from our national divisions.


Brynne E. Smith, As president and CEO of Tecta America Corp., Brynne E. Smith oversees the strategic direction and overall growth of Tecta America and its member companies, totaling 40 locations and more than 3,000 employees.

Previously, Smith was senior vice president and COO of Tecta America Corp. and led all of the company’s operational aspects, aligning the strengths and synergies of the local and regional business unit locations.

Smith was formerly with Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., where he spent more than 19 years holding positions of increasing responsibility. His most recent role was that of vice president of project management and construction management where he was responsible for leading a group of 1,500 employees whose efforts resulted in more than $350 million in revenue. In prior roles there, he headed up the Aviation practice and led the Civil and Business Infrastructure practices in the central region. Smith also spent four years in Paris for Jacobs, overseeing the acquisition integration of a large engineering and consulting firm.

Prior to joining Jacobs, Smith was the manager of business development for Raytheon Engineers and Constructors, Inc. He began his career as an application engineer and sales engineer with United Conveyor Corporation.

Smith graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.


Dave Schupmann is Tecta America Corp.’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. He is directly responsible for the oversight and management of national account sales, federal sales efforts regional service sales management and management of the national call center. Schupmann is also directly responsible for all Tecta America sales – including those at the operating unit level.

Previously, Schupmann was senior vice president of national accounts for Tecta America, where he focused on national account development with an emphasis on roof asset management programs.

Schupmann's career in the roofing industry spans 16 years, all of which have been at Tecta America, as a sales assistant, salesman/estimator, new account development manager, service manager and national sales manager.

Schupmann holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Aurora University, Aurora, Ill. He is a member of the Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA) and the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI).


Dave Reginelli’s role as senior vice president & CFO is to lead all aspects of finance and accounting procedures. Previously, Reginelli held increasingly responsible financial roles at a variety of industrial manufacturing companies including CFO at Suzo-Happ Group and Eagle-Picher Industries’ Hillsdale and Wolverine Automotive Divisions. He was also Group Controller of Noma Wire’s Appliance and Electronic Division, Director of Finance for Honeywell’s Friction and Materials Business Unit and Finance Manager at Navistar International. He began his career at general construction company F.G. West & Co, Inc., located in upstate New York.

Reginelli received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois and holds an undergraduate degree from Utica College of Syracuse University.


Stubitsch is a seasoned information technology (IT) executive with experience in business systems, application development, data center management and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform solutions. His most recent position was with Wilbert Inc., a manufacturer of thermoformed and injection plastic molded parts. As corporate director of IT, one of Stubitsch’s major accomplishments was designing and implementing a consolidated ERP platform from six different systems which enabled standardization, centralization and led to reduced operating expenses.

Previous positions include director of information technology at Wilbert Funeral Services, vice president & director of information technology at Legget & Platt, a Fortune 500 company that manufactures store fixtures and handling systems, and an independent IT consultant/developer.

Stubitsch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois Chicago and a minor in computer science along with numerous certifications.


As the senior vice president of human resources for Tecta America Corp., Kathy Jensen Watts is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving and aligning talent management, leadership development, rewards, employee relations and recruiting efforts to achieve the company’s strategic objectives.

Watts most recently served as vice president of human resources for Tecta America. Prior to joining the company, she spent 12 years at Heidrick & Struggles, a premier provider of senior-level executive search and leadership consulting services located in Chicago, as vice president of human resources. She managed human resources across the Americas region, was an integral part of Heidrick’ s initial public offering and utilized her knowledge and expertise regarding compensation, equity, benefits, Human Resource Information Systems, regulatory issues and employment legalities.

Prior to her leadership at Heidrick & Struggles, Watts was manager of compensation and benefits at Tripp-Lite Manufacturing in Chicago. There she managed payroll, rewards, employee relations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration/work safety and training programs. She started her career at CS Associates, a human resources firm providing strategic management consulting and management development to emerging businesses as well as Fortune 500 companies.

A graduate of Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, Ind., Watts earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in business. She is also Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certified.

Technical Management


Angie Durhman is the Green Roof Manager for TectaAmerica. With over 90 green roofs installed, Durhman has managed a wide-variety of green roofs throughout the country including tough climates, elaborate designs, and logistical challenges. Ms. Durhman acts as the liaison with the roof project managers to make sure all warranties, water proofing, and maintenance is managed and executed properly with the vegetation. She also works creatively within the scope of the project to select the proper sustainable materials.

Durhman frequently presents expertise utilizing a wide variety of speaking engagements and audiences: International Roofing Expo; local USGBC- Minnesota chapter; and AIA continuing education.

She holds a Masters in Horticulture from Michigan State University, where she studied green roof plant performance and environmental sustainability. Angie is an active member nationally and locally for the USGBC, GRHC, NRCA, CEIR, and ANLA.


Tony Huggins provides strategic oversight and manages the daily operations of the environmental services division with a heavy focus on daylight harvesting. Huggins was an Account Executive/Project Manager for a lighting contractor and energy services company for the past 10 years. In those former positions he did project development and design, project management and coordination to ensure customer satisfaction.

Huggins also worked for Alliant Energy as a technical sales consultant/engineer, focusing on providing technical energy solutions and project management services. Additionally, he was responsible for designing and scoping non-utility energy projects for larger commercial and industrial customers. Huggins is a Certified Lighting Management Consultant (CLMC) and a Certified Energy Manager (AEE).

Davis Lowery brings a strong record of demonstrated industrial success to Tecta after previously serving as founder and CEO of The Brave Companies.  Under Lowery's guidance, the firms, speciaiizing in external building needs, restoration, and roofing, grew an average of 500% per year over a seven-year span.  He has managed projects and facilitated successful partnerships for and with the U.S. Navy, NAVFAC, Naval Air Intelligence, the General Services Administration, the U.S. Department of the Interior, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Lowery's experience also includes building partnerships for Native-owned and Tribal-owned companies to bring sustainable economies and economic independence to the Native American community.  He has been a multi-year keynote speaker at the Native Economic Summit and has taught seminars on blending corporate and Tribal abilities for true economic benefit to Tribal communities and team benefit.
